I created SmartAlex Consulting to specialize in what I do best:  Film production estimating and planning.  Having worked for over a decade at top US Production Companies, as Exec. Producer, Head of Production & Bid Producer, I have years of experience and extensive knowledge in planning a successful production, starting with a comprehensive bid, and then gathering the right team and crew to make it happen.

 

I remember well, that when faced with overseas productions, lots of assurances needed to be made.          It takes a seasoned production service company to garner the kind of trust needed, to move a project offshore.  Having been a long-time client of Goodgate Productions, I regularly sent projects to shoot in their countries and always had a pleasant production, with our Directors and Producers very happy and ready to return for more shoots.

In 2014, SmartAlex Consulting was contracted to work exclusively with Goodgate in three continents. ​ I was thrilled at the opportunity to finally bridge my knowledge of North American production expectations and join their international team.  When clients leave their normal production zone for a foreign country, we have to deliver the high-caliber production, talent, crew, locations, and equipment to which they are accustomed. Our producers understand the quality of production and insist on it from the bidding stage into production. Now I am part of a passionate group of thinkers and doers, who love the craft of international filmmaking. I couldn’t ask for more in a team and I’m so happy to continue to be part of this adventure.
